Hervey M Boyd & WE Gowling. Boyd, from Cannes, NS, was an Ottawa sport leader and second president of Dominion Amateur Basketball Association. Gowling was a sport and education leader. Gowling’s Business College was Ottawa’s first “varsity” basketball team, fielding one in 1899.
