Basketball presents opportunities to build people and community; it’s engaging and affordable. However, basketball needs deliberate investment in facilities and policy support. The reward for equitable funding to basketball is a safer, healthier, inclusive community that fosters belonging. The shared love of basketball can transcend sport.
